Bright Light offers an
exciting summer camp for children between the ages of six
and twelve. The curriculum combines active programs with
quiet and instructional programs to provide a balanced,
quality experience.
On-site program activities
include teacher-directed projects, arts and crafts, board games,
puzzles, computer time, theme-based activities, outdoor sports,
music, science and nature projects, story time, special events,
and more.
Each week children spend
three to four days on field trips. We spend one morning at the
Chester Count public library and one day at the pool at Marsh
Creek State Park. The other field trips vary from week to week
and may include roller skating, bowling, a nature hike, a movie,
or some other recreational or educational activity. Some of our
past trips have included the Philadelphia Zoo, the Camden
Aquarium, and the Franklin Institute.
Children are welcome to
enroll for all eleven weeks, or for as few as two weeks.
Children may also enroll on a full- or part-time basis. Our
flexible schedule is designed to accommodate family vacations or
other summer activities, including other specialty camps.
